(8/4) Purpose-Driven Younger Workforce Pushes Employers to Advocate for Change

According to a survey from Deloitte, Gen Zers and Millennials most want work/life balance, learning and development, and sustained workplace changes from their employers.

Additionally, these generations:

  • Are worried about the cost of living, climate change, wealth inequity, geopolitical conflicts, and the ongoing pandemic.
  • Are determined to drive change.
  • Struggle with financial anxiety, lack of work/life balance, and consistently high stress levels.
  • Are demanding sustained change, including higher compensation, more meaningful and flexible work, more action to address climate change, and an increased focus on wellbeing.

Deloitte’s Michele Parmelee says, “There is an urgent need, and an opportunity, for business leaders to redefine the talent experience to better meet people’s needs.”
