Despite the mid-term changes to the House, the Trump Administration is preparing to forge ahead with several controversial healthcare initiatives, including a loosening of emergency preparedness and safety rules for nursing homes and new requirements for state Medicaid recipients. But the policies on immigrant workers could have the most impact on post-acute HR, since nursing homes and home healthcare make heavy use of foreign employees with work permits.
