(2/5) Mental Health Numbers “Going in the Wrong Direction”

Your employees may be putting on brave faces, but new data shows that mental health is declining:

  • 86% of employees without mental health concerns and 60% of those with see this issue as having a negative impact on productivity.
  • 79% of employees without mental health concerns and 47% of those with see it as negatively affecting workplace engagement.
  • Between November and December of last year, there was a 48% increase in the risk of depression in the workplace.
  • Challenges with the vaccine rollout, along with holiday stress, suggest that mental health will be a greater concern moving into 2021.

These numbers suggest that employers need to focus on helping employees and finding different way to engage and connect with them.
