More companies are looking to wearable technology as a way to promote healthy lifestyles, enhance workplace safety, and more. Some of the benefits of this trend include:

  • Healthy employees cost less, and wearables encourage people to pursue health and wellness goals.
  • Wearable technology can improve safety and on-the-job communication. For instance, “smart caps” have sensors in them and can help reduce accidents due to workplace fatigue.
  • These devices make people think generally about how they can be safer, happier, healthier and track their accomplishments in real time.
