According to a recent WorldatWork survey, HR professionals indicated that employees are concerned about how their employers base promotions, pay, and career development.  More than half of respondents said that their workers complain about these issues at least occasionally.

Use Careers in Aging Week to Attract New Employees All Year

HR professionals can use Careers in Aging Week (CIAW), March 3-9, to promote jobs in post-acute and long-term care and attract new employees throughout the year. There are many tools and resources available; and you can take these and customize your own creative approach.

Start by viewing a brief video about “The Information and Tools You need to Promote Careers in Aging Week.”  There are other videos that you can use to promote aging-related jobs and careers. These include Non-Academic Careers in Aging and Trends in Aging. There also are online resources such as a directory of educational programs in gerontology and geriatrics, and tip sheets on topics such as “Reflections on Careers in Aging.”
